In this series of children’s book, a kindness in the form of a gift or an act is passed around the world. In book one it was passed from Johnny in the United States to Zoya in an African country. In book two, Zoya continues passing on kindness to a little girl, Meiying, from China.
Zoya is a happy little girl with very few personal belongings. One day at the market she sees a girl, Meiying, who is very different from her and is clearly in need of a friend. Zoya remembers a time when she was in need and a little boy named Johnny helped her out. She tries to think of a way to help the Meiying knowing that she does not have many things to give her. She comes up with a plan to make this little girl feel welcome and loved by giving her a gift made from one of her very few possessions.
Rhythmically and visually follow Zoya on her quest to help Meiying feel welcome and loved in her new home. Every reader big and small will have their heart warmed and will learn the value of passing on kindness no matter how small the gift or act.
